A national professional association needed to retire a full Lotus Notes platform — 68 applications, years of accumulated dependencies, active users who couldn't afford downtime. The engagement wasn't a straight migration. It was a rationalization. We assessed every application against three questions: Does it still need to exist? If yes, what's the right platform for it? And what's the right sequence to migrate without breaking operations? Approximately 60% of applications — around 40 in total — were migrated to Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The remainder were built on custom Microsoft-stack architecture or sunset entirely.
A multi-analyst trust administration team had outgrown Excel.
